All Rights Reserved. -------------------------------------------------------------- --- Supported Windows Configuration ObjectStore ATK 6.0 is supported for the following hardware, NT version, and ObjectStore client configuration: Windows NT 4.0, ObjectStore 6.0 OLE-DB 1.5 or later, MS-ADO 1.5 or later Note that ATK 6.0 is compatible with ObjectStore 6.0 database format only. Earlier ObjectStore database formats are not supported. ---Installing ObjectStore ATK To install ObjectStore ATK, access the CDROM device and install the software as follows: 1. Insert the ATK CDROM into your CDROM drive. 2. From the root directory of the CDROM, run SETUP.EXE. 3. Follow the instructions provided by the installation wizard. --- Documentation ATK 6.0 comes with an online reference guide and tutorial, in both HTML and PDF formats. You can access the online documentation through the Task Bar, or by browsing the odi\ATK6.0\Docs directory. --- Sample Code The odi\ATK6.0\Examples directory provides a variety of ATK source code and tutorial examples. The installation program copies the ASP examples from the directory ATK6.0\Examples\aspSamples into your InetPub\ASPSamp\ATK directory (or InetPub\IISSamples\ATK depending on the IIS version you are running). In this way you can run the ATK ASP samples as soon as the installation process is complete. --- ObjectStore Client During installation and operation, ObjectStore ATK requires access to an ObjectStore client and a compatible ObjectStore Server. ObjectStore ATK is compatible with ObjectStore 6.0 clients. You can use an existing ObjectStore installation if you want, as long as it is at the correct release level. You can determine the version of ObjectStore running on a specific machine with the osversion command. --- ObjectStore Server The installation program, by default, configures ObjectStore ATK to work with a local ObjectStore Server (a Server that is running on the computer on which you are performing the installation). If an ObjectStore Server is running locally, the installation program displays a message indicating that the ObjectStore Server was found, and that ObjectStore ATK was configured to use it. --- Uninstalling You should uninstall any previously installed version of ATK before reinstalling the same version or a new version of the product. To uninstall ATK 6.0: 1. Open the Control Panel window. 2. Double click on the Add/Remove icon. 3. Select ObjectStore ATK 6.0. --- How to Report Problems If you have a problem installing or using ObjectStore ATK, gather all relevant information and contact Object Design Technical Support.
