Messages and Names Area
The generic event message area and the transaction names line show you the event messages and names.
Generic Event Message Area
This area shows you the messages that are associated with generic events. Generic events identify states of the application's processing at the time when they are raised. For details on how to define generic events see Defining a generic event. Generic event messages are shown on multiple lines depending on the available space. You might see all lines or only some of them.
You can resize the generic event message area by dragging the bottom line of the Client Counters/Ratios diagrams. Note that the generic event message area is the only part of the window that is resized if you resize the window vertically. Other areas are not changed.
Transaction Names Line
The transaction names line shows you the names that are associated with transaction events. Note that the name is truncated if it needs more than the available space. Use the Find function to see the complete name. How you can specify transaction names and which defaults ObjectStore assumes are described in the ObjectStore C++ A P I User Guide.
OPE cannot determine if transaction names are changed during the transaction. Thus, the after-event of the transaction does not reflect the change, and the original transaction name is displayed.
